The National Lymphatic and Venous Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals affected by chronic lymphedema and venous diseases. Established in 1978, the foundation has a nationwide membership. The National Lymphatic and Venous Foundation, Inc., provides appropriate referrals, including those to support groups; engages in patient advocacy; promotes legislation beneficial to affected individuals; and supports and promotes research. The foundation also offers educational and support information to affected individuals, family members, and healthcare professionals through its database, regular newsletter, brochures, and audio-visual aids.
