Genzyme/Allston Runners Raise Funds for NORD
Employees from the Allston, Mass., facility of Genzyme Corporation selected
NORD as the charity they represented in the 2008 Boston Marathon. The Allston
facility is a manufacturing center for several orphan drugs for rare diseases.
Phillip Maderia, Matt Barrows, and Rick Bodmer are joined by Hartmut Nedebock, a colleague from
Genzyme’s Germany office. (A fourth Allston runner, Gary Dodakian, was also part of the team.)
They chose to raise funds for NORD through their Boston Marathon run. All donations made on this page
in support of the Allston Boston Marathon team will go directly to NORD programs and services for all
patients and families affected by rare diseases.
